The Berliner Künstler Programm (Artists-in-Berlin Program) is a residency fellowship for international artists and cultural practitioners in the fields of visual arts, film, literature, and music & sound, established in West Berlin in 1963.

As part of an initiative to highlight the cultural and political legacy of the program, I profiled the literature fellows in residence from 1963-1978. Using the DAAD’s archival material, I wrote portraits of these novelists, poets, dramaturges, and interdisciplinary artists.
